The label reflects the curator’s selection; it is not a clinical certification or a guarantee of suitability. Existing uncertainty notes remain visible.

The expanded JSON contains 53 entries. Carer Gateway’s two entries and SANE’s two entries have each been consolidated into one profile, preserving both support categories and supplied names. This adds 51 unique profiles, bringing the initial expanded directory to 68. Later requests added a Discord community directory, five podcasts, three telephone or community support services, six wellbeing providers and seven specialist psychiatry profiles, bringing the current total to 90. The additions have not been designated curator-vetted. Most are imported from the supplied list, with their review status stated in the profile. Selected access details were checked for local headspace centres, Wyong Safe Haven, Medicare Mental Health Check In, Supporting Recovery, aftercare, outreach pathways and the psychiatrist profiles linked in the guide. These spot checks do not verify all imported information.

Interrelate: two different pathways

Interrelate appears under Connect & talk and Assessment & therapy. Its Gosford office offers counselling, while its Family Mental Health Support Service is a non-clinical early-intervention program for eligible children and families. Individual counselling has published fees; the family program is free for eligible participants. The profile separates those offers and records the provider’s conditional first-session promotion. Wyong Safe Haven is placed under urgent peer support rather than intensive hospital care. Neami, Community Living Supports and Care Connect appear under connection because their described offers include practical or psychosocial support. These placements are editorial navigation choices; a person’s needs do not have to follow the diagram in sequence.

Discord peer communities

The DISBOARD mental-health tag directory is included under Connect & talk as an additional resource. Its individual servers have not been vetted. The welcome message reflects a recovery approach: people can build a meaningful, fulfilling life with or without ongoing mental health symptoms. Recovery is personal and does not always mean a cure. Encouragement is not a promise that effort alone will resolve a condition. The message emphasises appropriate care, practical resources and supportive people, while leaving room for different experiences and timelines.

How the diagram works

The diagram moves broadly from independent self-help towards greater clinical involvement. Australian Government stepped-care guidance describes a spectrum of services matched to different needs, with adjustment over time. That concept informed this navigation. The five labels and the placement of individual providers are editorial choices; they are not an official stepped-care classification or a clinical assessment tool. People can start at any point, use more than one service, or move between services. The connecting arrows organise the information; they do not mean that someone has to finish one level before accessing another. A GP assessment can be an early starting point, regardless of the apparent level of need.

Urgent help has its own branch because it can be needed at any point. Gosford Emergency Department also appears under intensive care. Beyond Blue appears under both self-help and connection, and Central Coast Clinic appears under both specialist and intensive care because its day and inpatient programs involve different arrangements. Coaching and hypnotherapy sit in a separate “Other approaches” branch. This preserves their inclusion in the supplied list without treating a coaching or complementary practitioner’s title as equivalent to a medical or registered psychology qualification. Findings that affect access

Gosford and Tuggerah have different arrangements

Gosford’s national Medicare Mental Health listing gives an age threshold of 18+, while the WayAhead interim-site listing says 16+. The national page contains walk-in language but lists appointments in its hours section; the local interim listing also uses appointment access. The guide therefore says to call Gosford first, particularly for ages 16–17. Tuggerah’s provider explicitly lists access from age 16, walk-ins and extended opening hours. Several “free” pathways still have conditions

Medicare Mental Health Centre care is free. THIS WAY UP includes free programs and free clinician-prescribed access to otherwise paid programs. ARAFMI lists free carer counselling, with different arrangements for activities. Rural Health Connect’s bulk-billing pathway depends on eligibility; other tiers involve a fee. Medicare rebates do not necessarily cover the full session price. Under eligible mental health treatment arrangements, Services Australia describes up to 10 individual and 10 group therapy sessions per calendar year. Urgent support is not one interchangeable service

The NSW Mental Health Line provides 24/7 clinical advice and assessment pathways. Gosford Safe Haven provides peer support during its published weekday hours. Emergency care is the route for immediate danger or urgent medical attention. Acute Care Team hours in WayAhead were last updated in June 2025; its current local access route is therefore presented through the Mental Health Line rather than a promise of immediate attendance. Two names needed clarification

The supplied “Epiphany Swans Therapy” was identified by the requester’s website correction as From Epiphany, the coaching service of Epiphany Mason. The profile now uses that provider’s name and published offer. From Epiphany coaching.

“Dr Ramasinghe Psychiatrist” was not established as an exact match. The likely intended practitioner is Dr Wimaladharma (Rana) Ranasinghe, whose Central Coast Clinic and Brisbane Waters Private Hospital profiles identify local psychiatry consulting rooms. A GP assessment is individual

The source list suggested a “full blood check” for biological causes. The guide instead describes a GP assessment, with physical investigations when clinically indicated. Blood tests can help investigate particular possible causes, such as a thyroid problem, but this research did not establish a routine blanket panel of hormones, vitamins and minerals for every mental health concern. Some details should be confirmed at booking

The READ Clinic’s pages show different opening hours; the guide asks users to follow their booking confirmation. Lisa Frese’s costs and practice details come from a practitioner directory. Inner Alchemy’s Ourimbah street address is directory-sourced. No live appointment availability, insurance benefits or professional registration was independently checked. Every entry accounted for

Names have been normalised for clarity. The first 17 are the original vetted collection. Later entries come from the expanded JSON. Both names are retained for the two consolidated entries.

Method and limits

For the original 17 profiles and later additions, research prioritised provider websites, Central Coast Local Health District, NSW Health, national government pages and healthdirect. Specialist directories were used where they added local information or the supplied link was itself a directory. Source pages were read for the service offer, audience, fees, referral process, delivery format, hours and contact details. Known contradictions are recorded instead of silently selecting a more convenient answer.

The original profiles were researched on 14 September 2026. Interrelate, specialist psychiatry profiles and selected details in the expanded list were reviewed on 15 September 2026. Imported-only profiles are explicitly marked; their linked references have not all been independently reviewed. It does not mean the service was contacted, a place was available, a practitioner’s registration was verified, or a fee was quoted for a particular person. An older source can describe a service but cannot establish its current hours. Where publication dates were available, they are shown in the source register.

This was an operational review of the named resources, not a systematic review of treatment effectiveness. Descriptions of CBT, somatic therapy, coaching or hypnotherapy identify what the provider offers. Marketing promises about outcomes have not been treated as independent evidence. Inclusion does not endorse a provider or determine what care someone needs.

Prices are in Australian dollars where published. Unknown prices are shown as unknown, not zero. “Free options / rebates” includes services where eligibility or a gap payment may apply. General public hospital information is not used to promise that every visitor will receive care without charges.
